Innovation Enterprise Institutions and Vocational Enterprise Institutions (VEIs) are institutions created by the Federal Government of Nigeria to provide a veritable alternative route to higher education in Nigeria in 2007.

They are produccts of the recent reform initiatives of the Federal Ministry of Education. They are private institutions that offer vocational, technical, technological or professional education and training at post-basic and tertiary levels, to equip secondary leavers and working adults with vocational skills and knowledge to meet the increasing demand for technical manpower by the various sectors of the nation’s economy.

Nigeria’s ability to realize her vision of becoming one of the twenty largest economies in the world by the year 2030 is highly dependent on her capacity to transform her youth population to become highly skilled and competent, with the capacity to address industry needs

Sequel to the resource inspection by the National Board for Technical Education, and the Federal ministry of education, from 7th to 9th November 2012, the institute was granted accreditation on the 27th of March 2013, with Ref. NO. TEB/FRO/VEI/IEI/163/VOL.1/026 on the following programmes.
